Overview

The UNH Cucurbit Breeding Program is the oldest pumpkin, squash, and melon breeding program in the US. Come work outside with us and gain experience in hand pollinating plants and field plot maintenance!

There is flexibility in start date and hours, but in general the work season will begin the week of July 15th through early August. Most of the work will involve hand pollination of plants and associated tasks from 7 AM - 3:30 PM as needed for an estimated 30 h/wk, starting at $15-18/hr (depending on experience).

Duties

Hand-pollination of squash and pumpkin plants, perform plot maintenance such as vine training and weeding, and assist with other research related tasks as needed.
